A celebration of planning, providing an opportunity to explore how planning education can respond to emerging agendas in the 21st Century

LSBU is celebrating the 50th anniversary of RTPI accreditation of its planning course at a star-studded alumni event. The event is intended not only to be a celebration of the past, but also to consolidate our students and alumni into an active planning network looking towards the future. It is an opportunity to meet previous heads of school and lecturers and a range of current and former students at various stages in their planning careers. The event provides a unique opportunity to celebrate planning as a profession, to reflect on the value of planning education in career development and to start to explore how planning education at LSBU should respond to emerging planning agendas. The event will be as interactive as possible with two panel discussions with Q and A sessions. Speakers and panelists include Steve Quartermain (Chief Planner MHCLG), Adrian Penfold OBE (Advisor Planning Affairs, British Land), Adrian Brown (MD Berkeley Homes), John Acres (former President RTPI), Amanda Reid (Head of Planning and Development, LB Newham) and Charlotte Morphet (Co-founder of Women In Planning and Principal Policy Planner for London Borough of Waltham Forest).
