We organise activities and projects for young people that encourage their participation in higher education

The Schools and Partnerships Team is comprised of seven people who work within the UK and EU Recruitment and Marketing Department. Our role is to organise activities and projects for young people that encourage their participation in higher education. We also support older students as they go through the process of applying to London South Bank University (LSBU) and help them and others who may be the first in their families to come to university make the transition to student life. Read more about supportive student services at LSBU.

Working with local schools

The team works closely with local schools, FE and sixth form colleges. This relationship ensures we align our outreach and recruitment activities with the mission of these institutions to ensure their students make well-informed and appropriate decisions about their future.

The Schools and Partnerships Team are also responsible for the recruitment and training of Student Ambassadors. These student employers represent the University at open days and higher education fairs. They also work on our taster days and other outreach activities sharing their experiences and inspiring our prospective students.

Care Leavers

Our dedicated team is here to help those in care or who have left care recently. If you are or know of a Care Leaver interested in applying to university be reassured that LSBU offers a range of support when you study with us. As well as some well thought through personal and study support from our Schools and Partnerships Team, we also offer financial support to our student Care Leavers
