Make us your firm and first choice University

All new full-time LSBU undergraduate students starting in September 2016 will benefit from the following services and opportunities...

All new undergraduate full-time students will be supported to develop their career and professional skills. This could include work placements within the University, with an external organisation or with one of our educational partners across Europe. Details about opportunities available will be discussed during your course induction. This offer applies to students studying at LSBU's London campus, and students studying at LSBU on a Tier 4 study programme may be restricted on what EU travel options are available to them.

Free off-peak membership at LSBU's Academy of Sport for the first year of study available after enrolment has been fully completed. Off-peak membership offers access to the gym from 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm each day. The offer doesn’t include any classes or access outside of these hours, however you can upgrade to an alternative package.

All new full-time undergraduates will receive free Microsoft Office 365, Sophos Anti-Virus and SPSS software package. All essential software will be available after enrolment has been fully completed. These products can be downloaded onto your laptop or PC from LSBU’s Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle. The Skills for Learning team also offer a range of additional IT qualifications at special low prices for LSBU students.

The Dean of each Academic School has also agreed a package of additional services and products that will benefit new starters.

These range from free technical equipment, portable devices and study aids, to free text books (digital and print) and subject scholarships - all tailored to your subject of choice.

Applying for student finance

If you haven't already done so, you should make an application for student finance. The student finance section of our website explains student loans, maintenance grants, and student finance application methods. Read more about student finance

Updating your contact information

If you have applied to LSBU via UCAS, the quickest and easiest way of updating your contact information is to use your personal UCAS Track account. The University and UCAS systems are synced, so if you update your details in Track your information will be passed over to the University.

Alternatively, if you haven't applied to the University using UCAS application services, please contact the Admissions Team to update your contact information.
