Earn while you study towards a degree at a university with courses accredited or developed with industry
If you want to gain a qualification while still working and earning, an apprenticeship could be for you.
Higher and Degree Apprenticeships allow individuals who are starting a new career, or those who are already employed, to study for a qualification while working.
The apprentice does not have to pay for the university course – it is paid by their employer and the UK government. And at the end of the course you could have a foundation/Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Typically apprentices attend university one day a week and many courses lead to professional accreditation. You will also need to complete a work-based competency assessment as part of the apprenticeship.
- Earn while you learn
- Pay no tuition fees
- Achieve a degree (Bachelor's or Master's)
- Progress in your chosen career
- Learn job specific skills and experiences
To become an apprentice you must be 16 or over, living in England and not in full-time education.
